-In connection with the cancellation of the contract for the procurement of buses of the Public Transport Department of the Capital City, investment projects and measures to be implemented within the framework of the work to reduce road congestion in Ulaanbaatar city with state budget funds were approved, and the authority of procurement was transferred to the Governor’s Office of the Capital City. According to the order of the Governor of the Capital City, the Evaluation Committee was established. Responses to twenty inquiries from interested parties have been provided. Another Evaluation Committee, to be formed by the Procurement Department of the Capital City, will be responsible for the selection of tender materials.

A total of five companies submitted offers for the tender for the supply of "Public Transport Bus (Ulaanbaatar City)":

Each of these businesses presented bids without discounts. "Mines Up" LLC, Xiamen King Long United Automotive Industry Co., Ltd., and Yutong Bus Co., Ltd. provided tender guarantee offers totaling MNT 917,193,165. Xiamen Golden Dragon Bus Co., Ltd., submitted a tender guarantee offer of 300,000 US dollars, whereas China North Vehicle Corporation LTD did not include a tender guarantee offer. In accordance with the legal requirements, a company that fails to submit a bid guarantee cannot be chosen.

-In 2023, around 300 buses are set to be imported, with the remainder expected to arrive by the first quarter of 2024. However, the procurement of new buses alone should not be considered a complete overhaul of the public transport fleet. For example, citizens submit a lot of complaints and information about improving the communication culture and attitude of drivers. At present, drivers' salary is low. Therefore, it is necessary to raise the wages of workers in this sector. Addressing issues related to garages, optimizing public transport routes, and establishing efficient short circuit routes are also essential.
