Within the framework of the integrated calendar of cultural, touristic and sports events, conferences, seminars, and exhibitions to be held in Mongolia in 2025, the “MONGOL” Nomadic Winter Festival will be held for the first time in the “National Park” in Ulaanbaatar, the capital city of Mongolia, from February 16 to 22, 2025, in order to create a national brand winter event by promoting and popularizing the intangible cultural heritage of Mongolia, and to increase the flow of tourists from abroad.
In anticipation of the national Lunar New Year holiday that nomadic Mongolians have celebrated since ancient times, the “Mongol” Nomadic Winter Festival is organized in conjunction with the Winter Snow and Ice Festival, which aims to promote and introduce the winter rituals of the seven domains of the Mongolian Intangible Cultural Heritage and protect the Mazaalai bear.
