The meeting of the council of Governor of the capital city led by Deputy Governor in charge of the Social Sector, Green Development, and Air and Environmental Pollution Z.Tumurtumuu was held on July 26. At the meeting, the necessary equipment and machinery for public utility operations were introduced.

According to the survey on 17 organizations under the capital, 1,002 pieces of equipment and machinery are required for the normal operation of the public utility sector in Ulaanbaatar. However, due to the recent heavy rains, when the heightened state of readiness was declared, there were 13 types of 105 machines in 7 engineering supply organizations, and 12 types of 87 machines in 16 landscaping organizations, for a total of 192 machines.

In other words, it means five times less than necessary number of equipment and machinery. Therefore, research was conducted on the needs of the equipment and the possibility of renting. In addition, views on cooperation with the companies of the United States, Russia, China, and Belarus is being exchanged. It was emphasized that this is a solution to the problem without burdening the budget.

General Manager of Ulaanbaatar city and Head of the office of the Mayor M.Bayaraa:

-About 60 percent of the main activities of Office of the Mayor of Ulaanbaatar city are performed by the private sector. In this context, there is also a need to provide equipment support to enterprises. Moreover, a base of equipment and machinery is needed for emergency situations like the last flood.

Minutes were taken from the meeting, and the decision was made to the proposal to solve the lease of city and public utility equipment and machinery studied and discussed by the City Council.
