Member of the Citizens’ Representative Khural and Executive Director of “Ulaanbaatar City Development Corporation” JSC N.Bayarchimeg and relevant representatives met with the Head of the East and Central Asia Department of JICA Nakazato Taiji and officials in Tokyo.

At the beginning of the meeting, the sides expressed mutual gratitude, and Head of the East and Central Asia Department of JICA Nakazato Taiji presented the projects and programs implemented in Ulaanbaatar city. They also exchanged views on future projects.

Ulaanbaatar expressed the following proposals for future cooperation with JICA.

-In accordance with the plan based on the "Basic study of the current situation of road and transport infrastructure of Ulaanbaatar city", support for the feasibility study and design development of the projects to make Sapporo and Bayanburd intersections into a multi-level intersection, and to construct a bridge overpass on Ajilchin Street, within the framework of reducing congestion,

-In the framework of decentralization of Ulaanbaatar city, cooperation in the basic research and planning of establishing a satellite city or free economic zone based on Buyant-Ukhaa area,

-Support in developing the basic research of the project to be implemented in the framework of public-private partnership, and in training and empowering personnel in this field are requested.

In connection with the above requests, Head of the East and Central Asia Department of JICA Nakazato Taiji expressed his willingness to cooperate at all levels by sending a team to conduct basic research and train personnel.
