First Deputy Governor in charge of Economy and Infrastructure P.Sainzorig met with representatives of the Dutch Disaster Risk Reduction and Surge Support /DRRS/ of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. On this occasion, views were exchanged on flood prevention and improvement of flood control facilities.

DRRS aims to prevent and reduce the impact of water and climate-related disasters worldwide and increase the resilience of affected areas and populations. The representatives are working in Ulaanbaatar for a week to make recommendations and plans for flood disaster prevention.

At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to work jointly to prevent potential flood risks in Ulaanbaatar, improve river basin management and flood control facilities, and coordinate with urban planning.
