The Asia Foundation has been implementing the "Books for Asia" program in Mongolia since 1994, and within the framework of the program, it has been donating many types of books aimed at supporting the education of children and youths in medicine, business, finance and economy. In this regard, about 2,500 books in the fields of medicine, business, economics, literature, children, and cognition were handed over to the Governor’s Office of the Capital City to enrich the book fund of educational institutions and to support the education of children, teenagers, youths, and adults.
The Asia Foundation's Country Representative in Ulaanbaatar Mark Koenig pointed out that the last donation of the "Books for Asia" program will be completed this year, and this will mark the closing of the program.
Head of the Governor’s Office of the Capital City I.Baatarkhuu expressed his gratitude to the Asia Foundation for donating books and conveyed that the books are given in support of the activities of the Ulaanbaatar city Public Library. The donated books are all new and are marked "Asia Foundation’s Books for Asia, not for sale".
