A regular meeting of the capital city authorities led by Governor of the capital city and Mayor of Ulaanbaatar D.Sumiyabazar was held in Bayangol district on June 13. During the previous regular meeting, the Mayor gave tasks in 11 areas, and the implementation rate was about 90 percent.

It has been tasked to eliminate violations of fences built without proper permission on public areas and on land owned and used, intensify land vacation work, and monitor implementation. This year, it is planned to eliminate 8,771 meters of unauthorized fences in 111 locations. To date, 1,222 meters of fences have been removed in 14 locations, and the work is progressing at 31 percent.

There are 996 buses operating in 107 directions in the capital city's public transport, serving about 520,000 people daily. There are 1171 public transport parking lots.

Playgrounds and landscaping work to be done in 47 locations of Bayangol district

This year, 112 projects and measures are planned to be implemented in Bayangol district. Specifically, it is planned to build schools and kindergartens in 11 locations, and to execute expansion and major repairs at the National Center for Maternal and Child Health.

In 2021-2022, 26.2 km of roads were built in the district, while roads will be built in four locations this year. Last year, 24,000 square meters of parking lots were built in 20 locations. This year, 500 parking lots will be built at eight locations, and contracts are in the process of being signed. Last year, 25,000 square meters of sidewalk work was done at 56 locations, while this year, sidewalk work will be done at 38 locations. In addition, playgrounds and landscaping work were done in 57 locations last year, and it is planned to do it in 47 locations this year. In addition, lighting will be installed at 37 locations, surveillance cameras will be installed at 319 locations. Last year, 1,485 garages were demolished in 68 locations, while this year, 246 garages were eliminated out of planned 782 garages in 33 locations, and landscaping work has begun.

The area of the district is small and dense. Another problem is the lack of roads in ger areas and the need to vacate land for construction. In addition, a budget need for the landscaping the vacated area and the redevelopment of the apartments was being highlighted.

Paid parking lots to be established at 70 locations

The locations where paid parking lots can be operated on public roads and areas of Ulaanbaatar city was presented. A working group was formed and tenders were announced for 50 locations to become paid parking lots. In addition, a survey of automatic barrier parking lots in six central districts was made. There are a total of 482 automatic barrier parking lots, 186 of which have land acquisition permits and 296 without permits. Most of them have automatic barriers placed in the middle of the road of the residential areas.

The working group additionally conducted a survey on the operation of paid parking lots on 2.9 hectares of 20 public area locations in six districts. The Mayor gave task to carry out the work with high quality.

Task given to ensure the normal operations of parks, playgrounds, and fountains

At the end of the regular meeting, Governor of the capital city and Mayor of Ulaanbaatar D.Sumiyabazar gave the following tasks:

• In connection with the start of the operation of the children's summer camp, to pay special attention to the safety of children's transportation, food, and prevent from fire, and monitor its implementation
• In connection with the construction works, to organize the monitoring and prevention of violations of damaging public streets, roads, sidewalks, and areas without permission
• To regularly water the public streets, roads, and green areas, fully operate the parks, playgrounds, and fountains, and intensify the landscaping works in order to reduce environmental dust and humidify the air
• To rehabilitate the excavated roads in accordance with the repair work of city's centralized heating and other engineering networks, meet the relevant standards and requirements, and monitor the implementation.
