A regular meeting of the capital city authorities led by Governor of the capital city and Mayor of Ulaanbaatar D.Sumiyabazar was held on May 2. In order to quickly solve the problems in the districts and get acquainted with the situation, the Mayor decided to conduct the regular meetings in the different districts. As for Nalaikh District, 12 projects are being implemented with the funding of the state budget, 17 with the budget of the capital, and 34 with the budget of the district and the local development fund.

In order to ensure the right of children and youths to live in a healthy and safe environment, the "Child First" event was organized as part of the "Child Friendly City" campaign. The campaign to intensify child protection through parent councils attached to organizations will continue from April to November.

As of April 28, a total of 137 unauthorized garages in 12 locations have been demolished, and the work progress is ongoing at 5.8 percent.

In order to ensure a healthy and safe environment for the citizens of the capital to live and work, preventive and inspection measures are being taken within the framework of hygiene and occupational safety control. For example, advice and information on ensuring the safety of construction work are being provided, and notices to operators in the fields of leather, wool, cashmere, light, and food are being sent.

The Mayor noted that it is important for the affiliated institutions of the capital to work in coordination and improve the monitoring at each level in order to protect the health of citizens and ensure a safe living environment.

In order to prevent children from traffic accidents, to make children aware of the causes and consequences of accidents, 10 types of animated video content were prepared and presented to 13,284 students of 281 schools in the capital.

The Governor of the capital city has warned to monitor and improve road signs and markings in order to reduce traffic accidents.

At the end of the regular meeting, Governor of the capital city and Mayor of Ulaanbaatar D.Sumiyabazar gave the following tasks:

• To intensify the implementation of the 2023 "Shil" operation of the Prime Minister of Mongolia;
• To intensify the landscaping the garage vacated area within the framework of eliminating land violation;
• To provide recommendations to enterprises to ensure construction quality and implementation of standards;
• To increase the green areas in the capital city, to plant, grow and care the trees, and to eliminate weeds to prevent allergies;
• To prepare for the organization of the International Children's Day in an innovative way;
• To pay particular attention to the prevention of crimes and violations such as bullying, stealing, and harassment in the school environment, and increase on-site supervision.
