The Government of the Republic of Korea has consistently supported Mongolia's democracy, reform, and sustainable development in the past. Developing and expanding the cooperation in all fields with the Republic of Korea, a third neighbor with common values such as democracy, human rights, freedom, and market economy, would be a pleasure.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Mongolia Kim Jong-gu:

Congestion and concentration are major problems in the capital of any country. Therefore, we will support the localization of technologies and innovations introduced in our country in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. In addition, we would like to pay attention to the successful implementation of projects and programs implemented by organizations such as KOICA in cooperation with the city of Ulaanbaatar.

Mongolia and the Republic of Korea established diplomatic relations in 1990. Ulaanbaatar established sister-city relations with Seoul, the capital of South Korea in 1995, and Incheon in 2017, and has friendly relations with Namyangju, Busan, Gyeongsangbuk, and Daejeon.
