The Ministry of Construction and Urban Development, Office of the Mayor of Ulaanbaatar and Germany's "NAMA Facility" are implementing the project "Improving the Energy Efficiency of Houses in Ulaanbaatar" to reduce the heat loss of prefabricated houses in the capital. In this context, the project's partner organizations have signed an implementation agreement. In addition, the Project Steering Committee approved the working and financial plan for 2023.
On this occasion, General Manager of Ulaanbaatar and Head of the Office of the Mayor M.Bayaraa said, "The prefabricated housing heat loss reduction project is important and has a proper scientific background, covers a large scale, and uses smart technical solutions. Organizations should work in coordination to implement the project. I hope that this project will be implemented in a short time and effectively.”
The NAMA-supported project "Improving the Energy Efficiency of Houses in Ulaanbaatar" will be implemented until 2026. During this period, a total of 375 buildings are planned to be insulated and repaired. The second phase of the project, which aims to reduce the heat loss of buildings and create energy savings and efficiency, will begin at the end of 2023 and will renovate 50-60 prefabricated buildings.
