Mayor's Office of Ulaanbaatar city, the organizing committee of Naadam Festival, and the Mongolian Professional Sports Car Association jointly opened an exhibition of the well-equipped sports cars at Sukhbaatar Square, Ulaanbaatar. Also, for the opening of the Naadam festival, a parade of these sports cars went through the capital for the first time, delighting the eyes of the festival-goers.
The parade was held on the occasion of the Naadam Festival to promote drifting sports to the locals and foreigners in Mongolia. More than 40 sports cars including Lamborghini, Bentley, and Rolls-Royce participated in the parade.
It has been 15 years since the development of drift sports in Mongolia. There is a stereotype among people that drifting sports disturb and makes a loud noise. According to the rules of the Mongolian Professional Sports Car Association, members are prohibited from practicing drifting sport in the city center at night and disturbing the people.
President of Mongolian Professional Sports Car Association B. Jigmeddorj expressed his gratitude to the capital city authorities for supporting the sports activities. He said that supporting these activities is a sign that Ulaanbaatar is a city of youths.
