Governor of the Capital City and Mayor of Ulaanbaatar D.Sumiyabazar received the representatives of street food businesses to introduce the order issued on creating a favorable business environment.
The order obliges all levels of the capital city’s organizations and officials to provide the necessary support to the food trade and service businesses that meet safety and hygiene standards and requirements. Moreover, it was emphasized that the order will facilitate the businesses to freely run street food services in public spaces.
In order to create a favorable business environment in the capital city, permits and special licenses became no longer required to conduct 74 types of business activities. However, there are still issues and obstacles to running such types of businesses in the city. Therefore, the Mayor called on the businesses to actively file complaints and reports on the bureaucracy of public officials.
“The basis of bolstering the post-pandemic economy is the creation of a favorable business environment. Therefore, we will render all-round support to the businesses, especially those who provide products and services that meet hygiene and quality requirements based on the fact that businesses contribute to the country’s economy and create jobs”.
During the meeting, the City Standards and Inspection Agency was set to approve the street food standards reflecting the views of the citizens.
