Governor of the capital city and Mayor of Ulaanbaatar D.Sumiyabazar and Minister and Chairman of the National Committee on Traffic Congestion J.Sukhbaatar met with the representatives of the Daehan Consultants Co., Ltd of the Republic of Korea.

Governor of the capital city and Mayor of Ulaanbaatar D.Sumiyabazar said, “Mongolia and the Republic of Korea established diplomatic relations in 1990, and the cooperation in all fields has expanded. South Korea developed rapidly in a very short period with proper planning and on point engineering solutions. I am confident that as a result of Daehan Consultants’ knowledge, experience, and efforts, we will be able to create mutually beneficial and practical cooperation in the future.”

President of the Daehan Consultants Co., Ltd Lee Young Min said, “Daehan Consultants was established in 1967 by the Seoul Metropolitan Government. Currently, it is working in the field of urban planning, roads, railways, water structures, and green areas. First, we developed a preliminary plan for urban planning and engineering infrastructure of Ulaanbaatar. If detailed research is done, the first stage of planning can be developed in three months, and we are ready to cooperate in this area.”

After the meeting, the parties signed a memorandum of cooperation in the field of urban planning and engineering infrastructure, as well as providing consulting services. Continuing, the Mayor presented the study of Ulaanbaatar's ring road, satellite cities, and sub-centers prepared by the Think tank of the Capital city.
