In order to ensure the right of the citizens of the capital city to live in a healthy and safe environment, to improve land use, and to increase the sidewalks, green areas, public roads and areas, the work of removing unauthorized fences began in 2021. In this way, 713 violations in 183 locations were eliminated in that year.

In 2023, 8771 meters of fences in 111 locations in six districts are planned to be demolished. In this context, as of July 24, 6,917 meters of fences were demolished in 88 locations, and the work progress is ongoing at 94.6 percent. In addition, the work of bringing the fences in 46 locations up to standard is being carried out.

As part of measures to eliminate land violations, 2,355 garages in 132 locations in six districts were planned to be demolished in 2023. Of these, 1,445 garages or 34,372 square meters of land have been vacated in 83 locations, and the work progress is ongoing at 61.3 percent.
