Six sub-centers are being established within the framework of the program for the development of ger areas and investment support in Ulaanbaatar. In this regard, the relevant officials led by Prime Minister L.Oyun-Erdene, Minister of Construction and Urban Development Ts.Davaasuren, and Governor of the capital city and Mayor of Ulaanbaatar D.Sumiyabazar worked at Selbe sub-center.

According to the development document of Ulaanbaatar city, Ulaanbaatar is planned with 47 units of neighborhoods in eight zones, six sub-centers and two centers. In this regard, the program for the development of ger areas and investment support of Ulaanbaatar will be implemented in three stages, and six sub-centers will be established. Currently, Bayankhoshuu and Selbe sub-centers have been established.

Governor of the capital city and Mayor of Ulaanbaatar D.Sumiyabazar said, "Ulaanbaatar is moving from a monocentric city to a multi-centered city. In other words, decentralization will be created by establishing six sub-centers. In this context, state administrative institutions and universities will be moved out of the city center, ger areas will be housed, construction based on the sub-centers will be built, and public-private partnership will be ensured. Our work will be successful if there is good coordination between the government, relevant ministries and the capital."

Within the framework of the Selbe sub-center, social construction and engineering infrastructure construction were carried out on a total of 156 hectares in the 13th and 14th khoroos of Sukhbaatar district and the 14th and 18th khoroos of Chingeltei district. Specifically, three bridges, 6.7 km of roads, 5.3 km of electricity, 9.97 km of heat lines, 19.78 km of sewage and water supply lines, communication buildings, 2.4 km of flood protection dams, 1000 cubic meters of reservoirs, and substations were built. Also, 35 enterprises were connected to centralized heating, clean and waste water lines. In addition, 50 household apartments, a kindergarten for 150 and 240 children, a Business Incubator training center with 320 students were built, and landscaping was executed on an area of 3.01 hectares.
