Governor of the capital city and Mayor of Ulaanbaatar D.Sumiyabazar met with the representatives led by Director for Asia and the Pacific of JCI Cynthia Wong, and the 2023 National President of JCI Mongolia S.Munkhdelger. The meeting was held in connection with the Asia-Pacific Conference /ASPAC/ of the JCI to be held in Jakarta, Republic of Indonesia in May of this year. In this context, JCI Mongolia officially invited the Mayor to participate in the conference.
JCI Mongolia is preparing for the bid to host the “ASPAC 2025” in Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia. JCI Mongolia emphasized that participation is important to promote Ulaanbaatar city, as whether or not to grant this qualification will be decided at this year's conference.
Mongolia has the experience of organizing the conference in 2017 in Ulaanbaatar. About 3,600 youths from 51 countries participated in the four-day conference. JCI Mongolia emphasized that if the “ASPAC-2025” is held in Ulaanbaatar, about 120,000 jobs will be activated within 5-7 days, and it will bring economic benefits to Mongolia. In addition, it is estimated that more than 4000 people will come, which is significant for promoting Mongolia and Ulaanbaatar internationally and improving economic circle.
Governor of the capital city and Mayor of Ulaanbaatar D.Sumiyabazar conveyed that he will cooperate with JCI and support completely to inspire the youths to be responsible and active in society.
JCI /Junior Chamber International/ is an international organization that aims to support and stimulate personal development, entrepreneurship, and youth leadership. The branch in Mongolia, or JCI Mongolia, was established in 1992 and has been cooperating with the capital since 2015. Currently, with 17 branches and 1310 members, it implements an average of 60 programs per year.
