During the visit, we have clarified Governor of the Capital City and Mayor of Ulaanbaatar D.Sumiyabazar on the progress of the landscaping.
- How are the Ulaanbaatar authorities focusing on increasing green space in Ulaanbaatar?
- There are suitable areas to build green areas along the Tuul and Selbe rivers, as well as in the districts. Besides, Ar Zaisan Street, Dugui Tsagaan is one of the favorite places of rest among citizens. Landscaping work on this location has begun and will be completed by August 20.
Moreover, a landscaping along the banks of the Tuul River has begun. It is a good thing that the green spaces are being created in districts within the framework of the 'One Billion Tree' national movement, initiated by the President of Mongolia.
-Are there any suggestions from citizens regarding the landscaping?
-Citizens' suggestions are being received and reflected to the landscaping. We are receiving a great deal of suggestions of the citizens. A comfortable environment will be created by reflecting citizens' opinions and ensuring their participation.
- Will the implementing company be held responsible if the landscaping process is slow?
-I met with the executives of the landscaping company. The citizen’s right will be prioritized. We understand that there are difficulties such as transportation and exchange rate fluctuations. However, they have to overcome the challenges and make sure to work diligently.
